Seeing all of the marathon coverage and Facebook updates this weekend made me really nostalgic thinking about my marathon experience last year. It was something I never thought I could do and working towards that goal was one of the most empowering things I have experienced.
Looking back on the marathon has almost completely cured me of my lack of motivation. I’m not in the shape I want to be right now, but I know I can get back where I want to be. I can be better.
So this morning when my alarm went off and I was angry and frustrated, I ran it off. I went to the gym and knocked out two miles on the treadmill. Now I am motivated. It’s nice to have found my drive again.
